“On Joan Micklin Silver’s ‘A Fish in the Bathtub’ and Jerry Stiller’s Abiding Love”

I first wrote this piece back in November, when A Fish in the Bathtub had a 4K resto and a theatrical run through NYC. It fell through the cracks. We all forgot about it. Flash to now, and Jerry Stiller has passed away. The news triggered my memory and I went back and got this piece published. I’m glad I did; I’m proud of the piece and proud to spotlight a movie not mentioned in any of the obits about Stiller I’ve read or testimonies to his work that I’ve heard.

You can read the full piece over at Paste Magazine.
