Amazing, but true: I have done shockingly little writing about Army of Darkness, one of my all-timers, in over 10 years of writing about movies online. With this in mind, I of course leapt at the chance to put down my thoughts on the film’s recent and totally awesome* updated home video release, now in glorious 4K.
One minor criticism aside – and it’s a criticism no one can really be blamed for; boutique home video outlets have to make tough decisions every once in a while – it’s a worthy successor to the beat-up copy you still have on your shelf, and besides: I’m not turning down an opportunity to unleash my feelings about Army of Darkness online.
