It’s probably good that I saw Jethica at SXSW last year, and that I didn’t review it, and that it’s just coming out now; the space gave me all the time I needed to unpack it in my head and get down to the bottom of what Pete Ohs, Callie Hernandez, Ashley Denise Robinson, Will Madden, and Andy Faulkner tried to accomplish, and succeeded in accomplishing, with this special little film of theirs.
It’s also probably good that Jethica‘s coming out now, because man, I had a hard enough time figuring out my top ten for 2022 without having to add it into the mix.
Anyways. It’s always a pleasure to connect with something on a fundamental, spiritual, emotional level, because that happens only every once in a while, so I’m glad to review this film no matter the year, no matter the date.
