“David Dastmalchian feels lucky. His new film, Late Night with the Devil, which premiered at SXSW 2023 to rapturous applause, has opened in theaters as a box office hit before heading to streaming April 19 on Shudder, and he takes a role uncommon in his career so far: The lead, Jack Delroy, a 1970s late night host about to make a truly disastrous judgment call during a Halloween live taping.
