“The Totally Bonkers Fight Scene That Almost Saves This Movie”

Though I have seen proof that Ana de Armas can indeed act, she suffers nonetheless from a clear case of Gal Gadot Syndrome, in which it is assumed by outsiders perceiving the afflicted that the afflicted has “talent” and “charisma,” when in fact all they have is “good looks”; it’s a minor case, of course, because de Armas has several good performances to her name and Gadot has none. 

That said, Ballerina is not one of those performances, and the movie itself is just “fine” besides – except for one fight scene that nearly saves the whole thing (and it’s not the one with the flamethrower).
