Kat Abughazaleh has nothing to do with Gene Wu, save for their kinship as Democratic leaders* attempting to actually fucking lead rather than snivel or grovel or equivocate, as the Chuck Schumers and Hakeem Jeffrieses of the world seem primed for. Wu’s flight from Texas, with his fellow Democratic lawmakers in tow, didn’t achieve the effect that he wanted, but as William Wallace’s father says in Braveheart: “We do not have to beat them – just fight them.”
