I’m excited for Greta Lee’s The Eyes Are The Best Part adaptation if only for the opportunity (potentially!) to talk about Monika Kim’s novel; I like Lee, too, so that’s a bonus. The other bonus is this piece I did, where I finally (finally) got to put down words about Shal Ngo’s Control Freak and Steven Soderbergh’s Presence, neither of which I truly loved but both of which turned the wheels in my brain that focus on race, ethnicity, identity, and how these are expressed and studied through art; and we’re just in time for Halloween season, too!
