“Frances O’Connor’s ‘Emily’ Fills in the Blanks On the Reclusive Bronte’s Life”

Emma Mackey’s been a big deal, in my eyes, since Sex Education, so I’m glad Emily has everyone else convinced of her talent. I can’t imagine what else could convince everyone else if not Emily; maybe Frances O’Connor is taking it easy on herself by making a film about a dead person who managed to keep her private life exactly as such, but then again, there’s still the challenge of artistic interpretation, and man this movie interprets the heck out of Emily Bronte.

But especially so does Mackey! You can read my full review over at Paste Magazine.
