How odd to cover Fantastic Fest from afar and see only a handful of films that actually struck my fancy. Maybe this is a sign that I should go to Fantastic Fest in person next time; remote coverage on most festivals is being winnowed down, and this is true even of FF, which last year boasted a remote library comprising a far larger percentage of the programming slate than this year. Alas.
I still managed to catch a good, solid fistful of titles via screeners, though, and I heartily recommend them in my round-up over at Cool Material.
