Between being blown away by Squeeze in 2022 and talking to her in March and seeing her perform in May, I’m not sure I can say I have a bead, exactly, on the enigma that is Sasami Ashworth. I will only say that she is ineffable, personable, very, very smart, and a livewire when she’s on stage; certain people were born to play music before an audience, and I think Sasami is one of ’em.
I can’t say that that experience is really captured in our conversation, but maybe you’ll feel differently once you go over to JoySauce and read all about it.
